Sexual assault case against Cowboys’ owner dismissed

The sexual assault lawsuit against the NFL Dallas Cowboys’ owner, president, and general manager Jerry Jones, filed by Jana Weckerly, was dismissed on October 17, the Columbia Daily Tribune reported.

Weckerly also accused an attorney of Jones of destroying evidence she had of the event – a memory card with photographs – and that she was given money to keep quiet about what happened several years after, all of which Jones vehemently denied. According to Texas District Judge Dale Tillery, even if said allegations were true, the five-year statute of limitations for civil sexual assault cases had already passed.
