Buddy Valastro from TLC’s Cake Boss arrested for DWI

The New York City Police Department reported they arrested Bartolo “Buddy” Valastro, Jr., a reality television personality featured in Cake Boss, for driving while impaired in Lower Manhattan, according to a November 13 Associated Press article.

The New York police said they noticed Valastro’s yellow 2014 Corvette swerving in and out of traffic while heading north between the 20th and 32nd streets. Valastro, who hails from Montville, was pulled over on 10th Avenue in Lower Manhattan at around 1 a.m. Authorities reported that he was unsteady on his feet when officers asked him to emerge from the vehicle. They made him take a Breathalyzer test, which he failed. Thereafter he was taken into custody.

Cake Boss is a TLC show that follows the operations of Carlo’s Bakery, a New Jersey business owned by an Italian-American family.
