Sexual assault defendant also faces defamation charges

According to a witness, after being accused of sexual assault by a female friend, Texas Tech student, Ryan Watson has been planning the defamation of his accuser.

Watson, who was charged with aggravated sexual assault of an adult, could face up to 99 years of imprisonment, or a life sentence, if he is convicted of first-degree felony.

According to a computer forensic analyst at the Lubbock Police Department, Watson and his friend exchanged several text messages pertaining to the blackmailing of the woman who accused Watson of sexual assault. The text messages revealed a plan to distribute photos and Skype conversations that Watson had with the woman wherein she showed intimate body parts.
